Bellwork gave students a chance to write Explicit and Recursive Formulas for Arithmetic and Geometric Sequences as well as sequences that are neither.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We discussed examples of how to find the first few terms of a sequence given either the Explicit or Recursive Formulas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hwk #4 is due tomorrow, Tuesday, September 10, 2019\u00a0 SAS2 – Topic 1 Exploring – questions 2 and 8.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remainder of the period we began discussing Arithmetic Series.\u00a0 Students answered SAS2 Exploring: “Arithmetic Sequences and Series”, questions 9 and 10 in class.\u00a0 We discussed a short cut method (formula) for finding the sum of the terms in an Arithmetic Series such as the sum of the first 100 Natural Numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
