1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bellwork reviewed finding Horizontal and Vertical Asymptotes and determining the behavior of the graph as it approaches these asymptotes.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion on Sec 9-3 and the graphs of Rational Functions by finding x and y intercepts then putting these together with the asymptotes to sketch a graph of a Rational Function.<\/p>\n

Hwk #6 is due Monday.\u00a0 Practice Sheet Sec 9-3, Asymptotes and Intercepts.<\/p>\n

Students were given the review for next week’s quiz over Sections 2-3, 9-1 to 9-3.\u00a0 Date of quiz is still to be determined.<\/p>\n

Bellwork\u00a0gave students practice\u00a0using Vertex Form for the equation of a parabola to find Vertex, Equation for Line of Symmetry, and to graph the parabola.<\/p>\n

Hwk #7 is due today.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the period we finished our discussion of Sec 5-3, Vertex Form for the Equation of a Parabola.\u00a0 We discussed how to write the equation of the parabola in Vertex form if the graph or the coordinates of the Vertex and one other point are known.<\/p>\n

Hwk #8 is due tomorrow.\u00a0 Sec 5-3<\/p>\n
