1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bellwork gave students practice finding real solutions to a polynomial by graphing on the graphing calculator then using these solutions and polynomial division to find the remaining imaginary solutions.<\/p>\n

The remainder or the period students were shown how to use “The Box” to perform polynomial division.\u00a0 “The Box” is one method to expand the product of two polynomials.<\/p>\n

Hwk #31\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 was assigned.\u00a0 Due date is still to be determined.<\/p>\n

Sec 6-3,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Page 324,\u00a0\u00a0 Problems 11, 12, 23, 28, 29, 43, 44<\/p>\n

For #23 use long division or division with the box<\/p>\n

For 28 and 29 use the Remainder Theorem only.<\/p>\n

Bellwork gave students\u00a0a method to \u00a0multiply two matrices by hand.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the period students were given more practice multiplying matrices by hand (Sec 4-3).\u00a0 Students were also introduced to the concepts of the Indentity matrix, the Determinant of a matrix, and the Inverse of a matrix.<\/p>\n

Hwk #23 was made available to the students.\u00a0 Due date for this homework is still to be determined.\u00a0 Practice Sheet, solving matrix equations.<\/p>\n
