1st, 2nd, 3rd, Hours<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bellwork had students write the equations of quadratics in Vertex\u00a0Form given the Vertex and another point on the graph.\u00a0 Students also practiced taking a generic graph and transform it using the values shown in the function rule.\u00a0 \u00a0 For example:\u00a0 y = 2f(x-3)+2 means to move the graph 3 units right, 2 units up, and make it twice as tall.<\/p>\n

The remainder of the period we began discussing Sec 5-4, factoring quadratics.<\/p>\n

Hwk #17 is due tomorrow.\u00a0 Practice Sheet Sec 5-3.<\/p>\n

Bellwork had students practice using the graphing calculator to make scatter plots and find regression equations.\u00a0 Students also practiced graphing piecewise functions on the graphing calculator.<\/p>\n
