Self-portrait/ Encourage the  Child to practice drawing himself/herself. “Find a friend” game is a fun activity designed to help students become comfortable with their new classmates.Writing Tools Introduction/ I provide the children with crayons, stickers, markers to encourage them to practice at least their first letter of their name.Play Dough/ Children will roll it with tools, pull it is apart using cookie cutter.

All about me Questions? I am special because? My favorite color? One of my favorite tv shows is? One of my favorite toys is?  Who is missing? Provide little plastic people, tell the children to close their eyes take one away and have them opened than ask “who is missing”.Feelings Chart/ This activity will get children thinking about different feelings/Where is the heart? / Body Part /Identification game.Families/Tell the children to listen to what I am saying and stand up if I say true about them! Example: Stand up if you have sister!

My portrait/ children use the mirrors to draw themselves/ talk with them about eye color, hair color etc.Oval Me! On a paper, pre draw oval shapes.
