{"id":90,"date":"2013-10-08T10:32:36","date_gmt":"2013-10-08T14:32:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rawsonm\/?p=90"},"modified":"2013-10-08T10:33:22","modified_gmt":"2013-10-08T14:33:22","slug":"90","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rawsonm\/2013\/10\/08\/90\/","title":{"rendered":"Homework 10\/8\/2013"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tonight your child\u2019s homework is to:<\/p>\n<p>Practice their Sight Words: I, like, see, my, me, \u00a0a, the, he.<\/p>\n<p>Practice writing the number 6 and drawing 6 items in the box. \u00a0For example, 6 circles or 6 flowers, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Read the books in their bookbags, including the new one we made today: <em><strong>I Like My Family<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0This week we are working on pointing to the first letter of each word when they are reading books. \u00a0If they don&#8217;t know the word, the can say the letter. \u00a0If they don&#8217;t know their letters, they can count the words. \u00a0It is very important to work on this concept of one to one as a foundation to reading.<\/p>\n<p>Practice counting and naming numbers with the numbers in their math bag. \u00a0Please remember to bring math bags on <strong>Fridays<\/strong> as they will get new materials in their bag.<\/p>\n<p>Today began MEAP testing for grades 3-5. \u00a0Please remind students of the importance of listening to their teacher and being very quiet in the hallways. \u00a0Also, please limit interruptions to the office during this time.<\/p>\n<p>As always, should you have any questions, please call the office at 827-6500.
