Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* Practice spelling the words if your child can read them. Spelling will start next week!! (A letter will be sent home with words on Monday!!!)<\/li><li>READING GROUP BAG \u2014 Some students got new books and others have the same book. READ everyday and focus on fluency and comprehension.&nbsp;<em>*If your child did not get a new book, focus on RETELLING\u2014 new books will not be given everyday so more focus can be on comprehension.&nbsp;<\/em><strong>To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read).<\/strong>&nbsp;After reading books, please practice using the handout for the \u201cretelling rope\u201d see picture below!!<em>&nbsp;(Don\u2019t forget to ask your child\u2013 what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?)<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i.pinimg.com\/originals\/d5\/a1\/20\/d5a1200508445b434f0821160112dfc6.png\" alt=\"Image result for retelling rope\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Spelling Notebook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday:<\/strong>&nbsp;Consonants\/Vowels!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times.
