The space to draw a picture is a way to respond (make a connection) to the text (story). We are working on making sure our sentence matches the picture. Your kid will need SOME assistance completing this book but should do the circling words, underlining, drawing, and writing on their own. Again this won\u2019t be due until end of January so work on a little each day. (at least 15 minutes of reading EVERYDAY!!!! ***If complete please write a note on the front and I will check tomorrow. THANK YOU!<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Reading bag-&nbsp;<strong><em>***30 TOTAL***NEW SIGHT WORD<\/em>S<\/strong>&nbsp;ARE IN THEIR BAGS am, do, not, who, with\u2014&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;like<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;the, see, we<\/strong>, &nbsp;<strong>go<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;can, she, a,<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>at<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>is, was,&nbsp;will<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>he, has,<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>on<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>in, and, you,<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>up, look, it, my, to,&nbsp;<\/strong>and<strong>&nbsp;dog.<\/strong>&nbsp;Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* And work on using them correctly when speaking in COMPLETE SENTENCES for example: He (when talking about a boy) vs. She (when talking about a girl). And \u201con\u201d like the book is \u201con the table.\u201d&nbsp;<strong>***TEST OVER ALL WORDS WILL BE IN JANUARY SO PLEASE KEEP WORKING ON THESE OVER BREAK!!!!!****<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. READING GROUP BAG \u2014 4-6 BOOKS are in bags to keep reading over break\u2013 most are review\u2026 make sure to fill in reading logs each day!!!! (Also can you login code and password to read\/listen to more books on the computer)&nbsp;<strong>***students still have several books to review as we will be doing some testing over letters, sounds, and sight words this week to determine possible NEW reading groups and levels.<\/strong>**<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE&nbsp;<strong>EXTEND<\/strong>&nbsp;the reading by asking questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Find the WORD \u201cthe\u201d on this page.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER\/SOUND do you see\/hear at the&nbsp;<em>beginning<\/em>&nbsp;of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER\/SOUND do you see\/hear at the&nbsp;<em>middle<\/em>&nbsp;of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER\/SOUND do you see\/hear at the&nbsp;<em>end&nbsp;<\/em>of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end?<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>4.\u00a0<strong>Math Homework-MODULE 3 Lesson 19 on page 273 (homework helper is on page 271).<\/strong>\u00a0 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. NEW library books were chosen on Tuesday for those who returned their books. Remember these are great books for listening to reading and working on comprehension.. asking and answer questions about the story, like many students are doing on their story maps!!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6. No Poem this week, instead work on CLEVER and\/or links sent home in blog posts today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read, Read, Read\u2026. and work on \u201crainbow e\u201d on CLEVER!!!&lt;\u2014 this is a good way to practice for NWEA testing!!! ***<strong>Testing will be THIS MONTH!!!***<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">We will test NWEA MATH on Tuesday, Januray 14th at 9:00 and NWEA READING on Thursday, Januray 23 at 9:00!
