(Monday, December) 9 at 3:50-5:30 in the cafeteria,  it is $7 at the door- please come enjoy the fun and support our PTA.*****<strong><em>I will be there ready to enjoy the holiday fun with the kids<\/em><\/strong> <strong><em>and families! \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***SIGHT WORD TEST COMING THIS WEEK!!!!**** 25 words!!! See practice test that they did today with their 3rd grade buddy.  Test with me wilwl be this <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar for&nbsp;<strong>DECEMBER!<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Reading bag-&nbsp;<strong><em>***25 TOTAL***NEW SIGHT WORD<\/em>S<\/strong>&nbsp;ARE IN THEIR BAGS\u2014&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;like<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;the, see, we<\/strong>, &nbsp;<strong>go<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;can, she, a,<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>at<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>is, was,&nbsp;will<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>he, has,<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>on<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>in, and, you,<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>up, look, it, my, to,&nbsp;<\/strong>and<strong>&nbsp;dog.<\/strong>&nbsp;Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* And work on using them correctly when speaking in COMPLETE SENTENCES for example: He (when talking about a boy) vs. She (when talking about a girl). And \u201con\u201d like the book is \u201con the table.\u201d&nbsp;<strong>***BEGIN WORKING ON SPELLING THESE WORDS AS THESE WILL BE SOME OF OUR FIRST SPELLING WORDS!!!!!!!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. READING GROUP BAG \u2014 BOOKS and fill in reading logs each day!!!&nbsp;<strong>Read and Re-read for fluency&nbsp;<\/strong>books to be ready to WRITE about our reading\u2013 work on letter sounds!!! (Also can you login code and password to read\/listen to more books on the computer)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please fill in log each day!!! Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE&nbsp;<strong>EXTEND<\/strong>&nbsp;the reading by asking questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Find the WORD \u201cthe\u201d on this page.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER\/SOUND do you see\/hear at the&nbsp;<em>beginning<\/em>&nbsp;of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER\/SOUND do you see\/hear at the&nbsp;<em>middle<\/em>&nbsp;of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER\/SOUND do you see\/hear at the&nbsp;<em>end&nbsp;<\/em>of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end?<\/strong><\/li><li>Over the Thanksgiving break fill out a Story Map which will be in their reading bag with their books.
