Oakman Folder-Sign\u00a0and return behavior calendar for JANUARY!!– complete practice sight word assessment with your child to prepare for their test tomorrow!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>Ch\u00a0 WORD<\/u> bag! Today we talked about WORDS that have a ch sound like, chair, cheese, cherry, chick, peach, beach, sandwich etc.\u00a0 Please find 3-5 items at home that have the ch sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Friday, January 25th).\u00a0 Thank you!<\/em><\/li>\n

    Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d each night and practice sight words\u2026 NEW books for reading pictures, listening and asking\/answering questions (use bookmark), finding sight words, etc. were given in see through reading bag.\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she and new sight word LITTLE\u2013. ***ALL should be memorized for reading and some should be able to spell on own.\u2014\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

    ***STUDENTS WILL BE TESTED OVER THEIR SIGHT WORDS Tomorrow (January 25th) so keep practicing EACH NIGHT\u2014 spelling tests will begin next month too!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    1. READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read NEW black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d\u00a0 Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants\u00a0blends and digraphs\u00a0in their bag– this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Sign reading log for new books!\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

      1. Math- Lesson 8 page 228 read the homework helper and complete page 229 and return to school tomorrow.\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
