2. READING BAGS- like folders\u2013 these bags with be sent home EVERYDAY and need to be returned EVERYDAY. \u00a0Practice sight word, I and letters and sounds on ABC chart. We added a BOOK for letter Ss today. \u00a0They are VERY excited to show you how they can READ it all by themselves! \ud83d\ude42<\/span><\/p>\n Remember you can play lots of \u201cgames\u201d with this chart beside pointing at the letters while singing the ABC song. \u00a0For example, try letters out of order\u00a0(this is how they will be tested)<\/strong>\u2026 \u201cwhere is the P.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u201cWhat starts with a P?\u201d (pig) \u201cCan you think of anything else that starts with a \/p\/ sound?\u201d (pink, panda, etc.) We will continue to practice our letters and sounds with this song each day:\u00a0https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JvPo7aEQMxg<\/span>. \u00a0If link does not work, go to YouTube and type in:\u00a0ABC Sound Clues with Who Let the Letters Out by Dr. Jean<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/span>I told them this song can even be played on most phones if they cannot do it on a computer. \u00a0They are VERY excited to show you this song and the \u201cmovements\u201d we learned with it!! \u00a0If you reinforce this practice at home, it will help them in school!! \u00a0Please take the time to help you child with this!!!! \u00a0I took a video of them singing the song today and will\u00a0post tomorrow!\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Reminders:<\/p>\n 1. \u00a0THIS\u00a0\u00a0week, there with be a PTA MEMBERSHIP DRIVE! \u00a0Each child is to register and send in $8 to join.<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0No volunteering needed. \u00a0Please support your PTA so we can buy much needed supplies for the children throughout the year.<\/p>\n 2. Friday, September 12th is the 1st \u201cPrincipals Corner\u201d Parent Meeting @ 8:50 am & PTA News.
