Read for 20-30 minutes and record on reading log. The students also have a vowel hunt in their reading bags to finish while they are reading. \u00a0If there is more than 1 vowel in a word, record under vowel sound we hear. \u00a0The students know the following vowel rule:<\/p>\n<p>*Bossy e&#8211; e is made he is at the end of the word and bosses the other vowel to say its name and e says silent. \u00a0For example, in the word <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">like<\/span>, we hear the i say its name and the e is silent.<\/p>\n<p>* When two vowels go walking the first does the talking. For example, in the word <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">eat<\/span><\/span>, we hear the e say its name and the a is silent.<\/p>\n<p>2. Practice the High Frequency Sight Words. \u00a0New word today: <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">have<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>3. Play the new Math game in their Math bag Coin Top-It.<\/p>\n<p>4. Practice the Spelling Words for Friday\u2019s Spelling Test. \u00a0Do one line on paper from Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Here are this week&#8217;s spelling words: \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">can \u00a0 \u00a0 big \u00a0 \u00a0 my \u00a0 \u00a0pin \u00a0 \u00a0 tin<\/span> \u00a0and 2 more -in family \u00a0words, such as <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">win, kin, fin<\/span>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Reminders:<\/p>\n<p>I am still missing a few report card envelopes, please sign and return ASAP!!<\/p>\n<p>If students miss a day or time on reading log, they can make it up on another day. \u00a0If the whole week is filled in on their reading log, they will get a sticker and bookmark!!<\/p>\n<p>Thanks,<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Rawson<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tonight\u2019s homework: 1.
