Dear Parents:<\/p>\n

According to our census reports, you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 1st of this year.\u00a0 Since you live in the Oakman School attendance area, we assume your child will attend our kindergarten in September.\u00a0 If for some reason your child will NOT be entering Oakman School this September, please call our office at 313-827-6500, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

If your child is born before December 1st<\/sup>, 2012, there is a waiver you can fill out for your child to attend school this year.\u00a0 It must be filled out before the end of the school year June, 2017.\u00a0 We will have the waivers at the meeting.<\/p>\n

The Kindergarten Round-Up informational meeting at Oakman School will be on Friday, March 31 at 9:00 AM \u00a0in the cafeteria.\u00a0 Kindergarten packets will be distributed at the meeting.\u00a0 Parents need to fill out all paperwork and complete the registration process by making an appointment with the school office.\u00a0 We will start taking appointments beginning March 31, 2017 (if you have all the documents \u00a0that are needed).\u00a0 You must call and make an appointment. We will not take walk-ins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

When you come to the registration appointment, you must provide the following information,<\/p>\n

!.\u00a0 A certified copy of your child\u2019s birth certificate.<\/p>\n

  1. Michcon gas or electric bill, a rental\/lease agreement or closing statement\/title on your home. Also, bring the completed forms included in the Kindergarten packet to the appointment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
