{"id":109,"date":"2013-10-24T16:08:00","date_gmt":"2013-10-24T20:08:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rawsonm\/?p=109"},"modified":"2013-10-24T16:08:00","modified_gmt":"2013-10-24T20:08:00","slug":"homework-field-trip-info-pumpkin-voting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rawsonm\/2013\/10\/24\/homework-field-trip-info-pumpkin-voting\/","title":{"rendered":"Homework, Field Trip Info, &#038; Pumpkin Voting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tonight&#8217;s homework:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. read from reading bag and practice sight words, including new word: she.<\/p>\n<p>2. math- number 13.. in the box, they may use a &#8220;short cut&#8221; by writing 10 and then adding 1-2-3 more items to show 13. \u00a0The goal is for them to &#8220;count on&#8221; from 10 and recognize teens numbers as 10 + a digit.<\/p>\n<p>3. math bag- practice numbers and shapes! \u00a0BRING BAGS TOMORROW AS IT IS FRIDAY so new materials can be added, thank you!<\/p>\n<p><strong>The following field trip information is also being send home in folders on yellow paper. \u00a0(If you did not turn in money and permission slip, your child cannot attend.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our field trip to the apple orchard\u00a0 is this Friday, 10-25-13.\u00a0 We will leave on the bus at around 9:30.<\/p>\n<p>Some things to remember:<\/p>\n<p>Coats with hoods work the best.\u00a0 Hats can get lost.\u00a0 It may seem too cold to go to the apple orchard, but this time of year there are fewer bees!!<\/p>\n<p>We are ALL going to use the bathroom before we go.\u00a0 If you think your child may not be able to wait for a long bus ride, please send a change of clothes.\u00a0 We recommend the kids wear jeans, tennis shoes, and a sweatshirt.<\/p>\n<p>The kids will get an apple, a doughnut and some apple cider.\u00a0 They really only need a sandwich!\u00a0 Please send it to school in a plastic grocery bag.<\/p>\n<p>Parents that are driving, we will give you a Google map to the orchard.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any questions, please ask Mrs. Rawson or Mrs. Sulecki.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your assistance in these matters.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking forward to a fun and educational trip.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pumpkin Decorating Voting Starts TOMORROW!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students can bring in a quarter (25 cents) for a ballad. \u00a0They will be able to vote for their favorite pumpkin in the gym after school. \u00a0This will continue all next week until the BOO BASH on Wednesday, October 30 6-7:30 when the winner will be announced! \u00a0You can vote for our cat pumpkin (or your favorite from any class)!!<\/p>\n<p>As always, should you have any questions, please call the office at 827-6500.
