{"id":307,"date":"2016-10-25T13:28:42","date_gmt":"2016-10-25T17:28:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/randalc\/?p=307"},"modified":"2016-10-25T13:28:42","modified_gmt":"2016-10-25T17:28:42","slug":"welcome-to-my-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/randalc\/2016\/10\/25\/welcome-to-my-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Welcome to my Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This blog is run by Nowlin School&#8217;s Resource Teacher!<\/p>\n<p>Being a resource teacher is new to me this year. \u00a0I am finding it exciting to have the chance to work with so many students and their teachers. \u00a0Resource Teachers in Dearborn Schools push into general education classrooms most of the time to service students with IEPs. \u00a0Right now I am in 5 classrooms daily. \u00a0I work on traditional things like reading and math. \u00a0I also work with students with social skills as well as attention and peer interaction.<\/p>\n<p>On this blog I will post things you may find interesting as a parent of a child who learns in a non traditional way. \u00a0I too am a parent of a child\u00a0with Special Needs. \u00a0My son receives assistance from the resource teacher in his school. \u00a0I am in a unique situation to be on both sides of the table when thinking about special education today.<\/p>\n<p>My number one priority is to make sure my students are learning to their highest potential and the instruction is presented in a way that will allow them to do that!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This blog is run by Nowlin School&#8217;s Resource Teacher!
