The event will be in the MSU Engineering Building &amp; Anthony Hall.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.egr.msu.edu\/wie\/k-12\/programs-outreach\">Registration is required<\/a>, and students must be chaperoned.\u00a0 Chaperones may bring up to three students.\u00a0 Registration deadline is November 8 or until maximum capacity is reached. Tickets are $10 each and include skate rentals.\u00a0 The community, including younger students, is invited to skate from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., and high school students can skate from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.  For tickets, contact the high schools, including Ms. Altomonte at Fordson at <a href=\"mailto:altomoa@dearbornschools.org\">altomoa@dearbornschools.org<\/a>, Ms. Rumler at Dearborn High at <a href=\"mailto:rumlers@dearbornschools.org\">rumlers@dearbornschools.org<\/a>, and Ms. Gass at Edsel Ford at <a href=\"mailto:gassm1@dearbornschools.org\">gassm1@dearbornschools.org<\/a>. \u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1M3IA6KaE3GSxw-5OwUkaAf1PUwGn5KBS\">See the flyer here.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Empty Bowels Meal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Dearborn Public Schools Art department is hosting its 28th annual Empty Bowls meal on Monday, November 25, from 4-6:30 p.m. at Park Place Banquet Hall, 23400 Park Street, Dearborn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a minimum suggested of $5 donation, guests who attend this family-friendly dinner may select a one-of-a-kind handmade bowl and enjoy a serving of tasty soup and bread. The bowls are made by students in kindergarten through high school who attend Dearborn Public Schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donations will support Gleaners Food Bank and Blessings in a Backpack, local charities that help feed the hungry. Guests can take their bowls home as a reminder of all those who go hungry each day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis community service learning project is a win-win-win.&nbsp; Empty Bowls allows art teachers and their students to create bowls to raise money.&nbsp; It involves the community, which donates items and attends the event, and it provides more than $3,000 each year to local charities to help those in need.&nbsp; The Art Department is very proud of the continued success of Empty Bowls,\u201d said Susan Briggs, the District\u2019s Art Resource Teacher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A variety of soups will be available, including vegetarian and gluten free, at this simple meal of soup and bread to fight hunger. A tin can raffle will also be held.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No reservations are required, but those who arrive early will see all of the unique bowls made and donated by students and teachers in the Dearborn Public Schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual Empty Bowls event is hosted by the Dearborn Public Schools Art Department and Park Place Banquets &amp; Catering.&nbsp; Empty Bowls events are held around the world as part of a grassroots movement by artists and craftspeople to care for and feed the hungry in communities.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michigan State offering Girls\u2019 STEM Day Kindergarten through 4th grade students are invited to participate Girls\u2019 STEM Day, including hands on activities on Nov. 23 from 1-4 p.m.\u00a0 (Check in 12:30-1 pm).
