Fill-out the reading log and turn in Friday. Students get their name drawn for prizes, Principal for 1\/2 a day, and a pizza party for the class who reads the most books.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wednesday, March 12<\/strong> &#8211; Late start students go to school an hour later.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, March 13<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;Brainstormers&#8221; will visit our school for a writing assembly in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday, March 14<\/strong> &#8211; Leprechaun traps are due in class in preparation for St. Patrick&#8217;s Day, Monday, March 17. Let&#8217;s see if we can catch a lucky Leprechaun! (Notes went home with K-home work packet and first grade separate note was sent home).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kindergarten Spelling words<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;ig&#8221; endings\u00a0\u00a0 big, dig, pig, wig\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sight words &#8211; blue, one<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Grade Spelling words<\/strong> &#8211; &#8220;ell&#8221; endings\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 tell, fell, spell, sell\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sight words &#8211; well want, brown<\/p>\n<p><strong>First Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Reading<\/strong> &#8211; Thank you for your support at home. At the end of the 3rd card marking students should be at a 12 in First grade. That is our goal for all students to read at a reading level 12. Reading at home is essential for growth in reading and writing.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Monday, March 10 &#8211; I<\/strong> will be not be in the classroom in the morning, I will be at a math workshop in the building.
