Dates to Remember<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Seuss Week<\/strong> – A note went home in your child’s folder of the activities for the week.<\/p>\n

Monday<\/strong> – Wear something green to school. “Green Eggs and Ham”<\/p>\n

Tuesday<\/strong> – Bring a stuffed animal to school. “If I Ran a Zoo”<\/p>\n

Wednesday<\/strong> – Dress up wacky. “Wacky Wednesday”<\/p>\n

Thursday<\/strong> – Wear silly socks to school. “Fox in Sock”<\/p>\n

Friday –<\/strong> Wear red, white and black day. “The Cat in the Hat”<\/p>\n

March is Reading Month<\/strong> – a new reading log went home in folders Friday. Fill-out the reading log and turn in Friday. Students get their name drawn for prizes, Principal for 1\/2 a day, and a pizza party for the class who reads the most books.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, March 12<\/strong> – Late start students go to school an hour later.<\/p>\n

Thursday, March 13<\/strong> – “Brainstormers” will visit our school for a writing assembly in the afternoon.<\/p>\n

Friday, March 14<\/strong> – Leprechaun traps are due in class in preparation for St. Patrick’s Day, Monday, March 17. Let’s see if we can catch a lucky Leprechaun! (Notes went home with K-home work packet and first grade separate note was sent home).<\/p>\n

Kindergarten Spelling words<\/strong> – “ig” endings\u00a0\u00a0 big, dig, pig, wig\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sight words – blue, one<\/p>\n

First Grade Spelling words<\/strong> – “ell” endings\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 tell, fell, spell, sell\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sight words – well want, brown<\/p>\n

First Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading<\/strong> – Thank you for your support at home. At the end of the 3rd card marking students should be at a 12 in First grade. That is our goal for all students to read at a reading level 12. Reading at home is essential for growth in reading and writing.<\/p>\n

Monday, March 10 – I<\/strong> will be not be in the classroom in the morning, I will be at a math workshop in the building. So, I will see you in the afternoon before lunch.<\/p>\n
