Wednesday, February 12 – Late Start<\/strong><\/p>\n

Friday, February 14 – Valentines Day Party 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Students will exchange Valentine’s and enjoy a treat along with some Valentine activities. We have 20 students in our classroom. I will post the student classroom list and send the list home on Monday; in case anyone wants to start making out their Valentine’s early. *We can use a few volunteers to help with our Valentine exchange.*<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mid-Winter Break – Monday, February 17 – 21 – Students return to school Monday, February 24.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reminder: Spelling Test Make-up for Kindergarten and First Grade on Monday, February 10. <\/strong>Kindergartners spelling “an” words – an, pan, tan, can\u00a0 sight words – in, it, is, to. First graders working on words with “ch” beginnings – chap, chime, (use your silent “e” rule) chain (use your vowel team rule – “ai” says, “a”)\u00a0 sight words – out, all, came.<\/p>\n

Friday, February 14 – Spelling Test NEW WORDS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kindergarten – “am” words am, ham, jam,\u00a0 sight words – you, look, go.<\/p>\n

First Grade – “ch” ending words – bunch, teach (use your vowel team rule), catch. Sight words – eat, was, are, went.<\/p>\n

Please note – If your child is not doing well on the cold words, please practice other rhyming words at home to prepare them for that part of the test.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
