Dates to Remember<\/strong><\/p>\n

Tuesday, March 1<\/strong> – March is Reading Month Kick-off Assembly. Student’s will bring home a calendar of reading activities and a reading log to participate in March is Reading Month.<\/p>\n

Wednesday, March 2<\/strong> – Library check-in and check-out. PBIS celebration for student’s who have earned positive Class Dojo points.<\/p>\n

Friday, March 4<\/strong> – Brainstormers will visit Nowlin. Brainstormers is a team of actor’s who perform skits based on your child’s stories they write in class.<\/p>\n

Family Project for Month of March<\/strong> – Mrs. Polgar’s class is going to try to catch a Leprechaun. Students will build a Leprechaun Trap and bring traps to school by Tuesday, March 15 BEFORE St. Patrick’s Day, March 17. Information\/details will go home in blue folders.<\/p>\n

Traditional Spring Egg Hunt<\/strong> – Mrs. Polgar’s class will have an egg hunt on Thursday, March 24 in the afternoon. More information will be forthcoming. I will need volunteers to help assist hiding the eggs outside and assisting kids during the egg hunt.<\/p>\n

Spelling Words for Week<\/strong> – pen, men, ten.\u00a0\u00a0 sight words – be, do, yellow.<\/p>\n

A number of families have asked if I could post new spelling words on Friday. So, I will post a new list on Friday on my classroom blog. Please have your child practice writing a simple sentence with a spelling word each day. This will help your child with forming letters, sounds and practicing sight word recognition.<\/p>\n
