Here is a look at our week back to school:<\/p>\n
Wednesday, January 8 – Earth science assembly<\/p>\n
Sight word review – please review sight words from last year.<\/p>\n
a \u00a0 I \u00a0my \u00a0at \u00a0 like \u00a0up \u00a0yes \u00a0it we \u00a0see \u00a0and \u00a0said \u00a0you \u00a0the \u00a0is \u00a0can \u00a0look \u00a0play \u00a0no go me one red \u00a0to \u00a0yellow \u00a0blue \u00a0green<\/p>\n
Math – Unit on Geometry shapes. 2D – 3D shapes. We have been working hard on identifying and writing numbers 1-20 in the second card marking. We will begin writing numbers 1-30 and counting 1-75.<\/p>\n
Social Studies – New unit – Who Am I? Understanding concept of time – past, present, yesterday, tomorrow, today. How do we learn about the past \u00a0– interviews, photographs, artifacts, \u00a0journals, and books.<\/p>\n
Science – Push\/Pull unit. Understanding concepts of motion, force, push, pull, gravity.<\/p>\n
Writing – Informational writing. \u00a0Unit on Artic animals. Understanding informational text \u00a0features.<\/p>\n
Reading – Daily Five Boot Camp begins this week. We will review Daily Five \u00a0components. Book bags will go home this week along with reading log.<\/p>\n
I may be out of the classroom on Wednesday, January 7 for a District Science conference. Not sure as of yet, until we return to school.<\/p>\n
