Monday, March 31 – Opening Day<\/strong> – Tiger Day! Wear your tiger shirt or blue and orange.<\/p>\n

Kindergarten\/First Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n

Writing<\/strong> – Last week we had fun having the first graders read their “How to Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich.” The best part was making the PB&J sandwich and eating it! This week we will begin working on informational research reports.<\/p>\n

Spelling Words<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kindergarten<\/strong> – “it” word family – bit, hit, sit, pit\u00a0\u00a0 sight words – find, help<\/p>\n

First Grade<\/strong> – “pl” & “fl” blends – plop, plug, plan, flash, flat, flap,\u00a0 sight words – must, please, saw<\/p>\n

We had a lot of fun during March is Reading Month. Although reading month is over students should still read each night for homework to continue to building fluency. I am really pleased with our class participation during reading month.<\/p>\n

Spring is Here! So, hopefully students will be getting outside for recess next week.<\/p>\n
