{"id":141,"date":"2020-04-19T14:08:57","date_gmt":"2020-04-19T18:08:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/piusgov\/?p=141"},"modified":"2020-04-19T21:25:23","modified_gmt":"2020-04-20T01:25:23","slug":"the-learning-continues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/piusgov\/2020\/04\/19\/the-learning-continues\/","title":{"rendered":"The Learning Continues!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hello!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dearborn Public Schools has officially adopted a learning plan that will continue through the end of the year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What will students be expected to do each day (and week)?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>I will post the week&#8217;s assignments to the blog at 11am on Monday morning. <\/li><li>You will be completing daily assignments. All assignments for my class will be due at 11:59PM on Sunday night.<\/li><li>You will be expected to attend one Google Hangout per week. The Hangout session will be no longer than 40 minutes. <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When will the Google Hangouts be?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hangouts will be arranged according to class period. If you are in a 3rd hour class, you are expected to attend the Hangout for 3rd hour. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Monday and Fridays are reserved for office hours. During these times, you can arrange to get one-on-one help through Google Hangouts. You can video in on your phone or computer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does the work &#8220;count&#8221; for a grade?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>YES! For second semester, you will receive an A, G, or a N. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>To earn an A, you must engage in at least 75% of the remote lessons and hangouts, and submit and earn a passing grade on at least 75% of the assignments.<\/li><li>To earn a G, you must engage in 60-74% of the remote lessons and hangouts, and submit and earn a passing grade on at least 60-74% of the assignments. <strong>A &#8220;G&#8221; means that you will get credit for the class, but it will have no impact on your GPA.<\/strong><\/li><li>To earn a N, you must engage in less than 60%&nbsp; of the remote lessons and hangouts, and submit and earn a passing grade on less than 60% of the assignments. <strong>An &#8220;N&#8221; means that you do NOT receive credit. You will have to take retake the class. <\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hello!
