STUDENT WRITINGS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Alex&#8217;s Story<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>One cloudy morning a boy named Tommy lifted up his pillow and went to the deck, held out his plate, fork, and knife.\u00a0 He held out his plate slap down was a hot pancake, cold apple juice and of course the sweetest apple fritter in the world.\u00a0 Tommy took a bite and he said, &#8220;Yumm!!&#8221;\u00a0 He went downstairs sat on the couch and watched the news.\u00a0 In two hours it was lunch time, slap down was soft chicken fingers, steaming green beans and for a drink ice cold soda.\u00a0 In four hours it was dinner time slap down was spaghetti and meat balls, garlic bread and lemonade.\u00a0 The next day nothing came down.\u00a0 In two hours Tommy looked out the window nothing came down.\u00a0 Four hours later nothing came down and the land of Chew and Swallow lived happily ever after.<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>The Adventures of the Falling Hamburger by Jasin<\/em><\/p>\n<p>There was a boy named Tom.\u00a0 He was ready for dinner.\u00a0 Then a big hamburger landed on Tom.\u00a0 Then an onion landed on Tom&#8217;s mother.\u00a0 Everybody ran like crazy in the town.\u00a0 People kept leaving the town. \u00a0 But it was to late for Tom&#8217;s mother because a big nacho fell on her.\u00a0 Now Tom knows how to make it stop raining food.\u00a0 He got two rocks and threw them in the sky.\u00a0 Tom did it.\u00a0 He saved everybody!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cloudy with a Chance of Food by Conner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>A little boy built a cloud.\u00a0 It could rain everything -cats, dogs but not food.\u00a0 The boy built a machine that could stop hunger.\u00a0 One day the machine broke.\u00a0 The boy had to go to the food temple.\u00a0 Aguy said I need your heart to fix the machine, so it could read your heart.\u00a0 So the boy did .and the boy died.\u00a0 the man fixed the machine.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Falling Food by Mariam<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>One day in Falling Food they had eggs for breakfast and nachos for lunch and juicy steak for dinner.\u00a0 One day the food went all crazy.\u00a0 So everybody got a giant piece of bread and made a boat out of it.\u00a0 And they went to another city.\u00a0 It took a week for them to find a city.\u00a0 They got to a city called Eat, Eat, Eat.\u00a0 Everybody ate everything they wanted to eat.\u00a0 They found it weird to buy food in a store rather than getting it from the sky.\u00a0 But every once in a while they would think about Falling Food.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cloudy with a Chance of Bananas by Rhonda<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>One day there was a city in Hawaii and all the people took their plates,cups and silverware and the sky would always rain bananas and juice.\u00a0 One day something was wrong in the city and everybody was scared.\u00a0 all the bananas got big and it ruined the school and all the people took a giant banana and they got to a new city and they loved it there.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Cloudy with a Chance of PorkCops by Jasmine<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Once upon a time there was a town called Slurp and Chew.\u00a0 They served breakfast, lunch and dinner.\u00a0 That morning they served sunnyside up eggs and crisp bacon and soft grits, and orange juice to drink.\u00a0 And for lunch we had spicy lodalls and to drink we had grape juice.\u00a0 And for dinner we had corn and hamburgers and mashed potatoes with soda.\u00a0 Then we all had leftovers.\u00a0 Then finally everybody had to move away for two years until they trasted food some more.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Food by Alyssa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>One day in a city called Delicious food came from the sky.\u00a0 It was raining bacon, pancakes and cereal.\u00a0 Everyone loved it.\u00a0 When they were done they took the leftovers and they put it in their fridge.\u00a0 When it was lunch they had grilled cheese, buttered noodles and pizza.\u00a0 They thought the food was a little bit bigger than normal\u00a0 so at dinner they had spaghetti, hamburgers and porkchops.\u00a0 It was huge!\u00a0 They could not even bite it.\u00a0 I am tired of food coming from the sky.\u00a0 The next day food was pouring.\u00a0 You could not even go outside.\u00a0 So after that nobody knew what happened.\u00a0 So they went outside and got out a huge huge boat and sailed away.\u00a0 After that nobody EVER went back there.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Chew and Swallow was Gone by Joe S.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In the land of Chew and Swallow, citizens food was the WEATHER!\u00a0 For breakfast one morning they got filled up by soft pancakes, a side of zesty sausages, and to moisten their tongues a dab of orange juice.\u00a0 Soon, they smelled some fluffy ham sandwiches, salty potato chips, and some fruit punch.\u00a0 They had that for lunch.\u00a0 For dinner, there was some crunchy tacos, crispy french fries, and fizzing pop.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The next morning, everyone woke up and went outside, but nothing came.\u00a0 Next, an old man saw a new hill.\u00a0 After that, it came up all over the news.\u00a0 People found out that food was coming from the ground,not the sky.\u00a0 People were faminshed, and their houses were exploding.\u00a0 The city dug up a giant sandwich and left Chew and Swallow.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>And the new place they live is FoodLand!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Everyday on Chew Street by Kelsie<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It would rain breakfast, lunch, and dinner.\u00a0 But on Tuesday it only rained lunch.\u00a0 After Tuesday it only rained lunch everyday, so everybody on Chew Street had to move somewhere else.\u00a0 They moved to a city.\u00a0 They traveled to the city by a sandwich boat.\u00a0 The boat stayed up the whole time they traveled.\u00a0 When they got there they were so hungry,they went to this place called Food Market.\u00a0 One of the pandas asked, &#8220;What is a food market?&#8221;\u00a0 All the pandas went in the market and said, &#8220;Let&#8217;s get some things to eat and go back to our houses!&#8221;\u00a0 So they started grabbing the delicious looking food and ran out of the store.\u00a0 But the sensors rang and police came out and said to all the pandas, &#8220;You need to buy all that food.&#8221;\u00a0 The pandas said, &#8221; But we don&#8217;t have any money.&#8221;\u00a0 The police said, &#8220;Then you have to put all that stuff back and go back home.&#8221;\u00a0 The pandas went home with tears dripping down their face.\u00a0 The next day all the pandas woke up starving and went outside to look out at the sun.\u00a0 One panda said, &#8220;I just felt something gross touch my head.&#8221;\u00a0 After that it started to rain all sorts of food!\u00a0 They closed all the markets and the pandas lived happily ever after!<br
