Our focus this week is:
\nReading- Literature, we will be expanding our knowledge of the elements of stories.
\nWriting- Opinion Writing, we will be working our sentences, paragraphs and spelling. In addition, we will continue to include the elements of opinions in our writing such as, leads, reasons with evidence and conclusions.
\nSpelling- Our focus is suffixes, Lesson 24. The test will be Friday.
\nSocial Studies- We will learning about the Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens
\nScience- We continue with the Earth processes-rocks and minerals.
\nMath- Our focus continues to be geometry\u2013angles , lines, rays perpendicular lines, parallel lines etc. We will be learning to measure angles with a protector.
\nWe are continuing to learn our multiplication facts. Fourth graders should know their facts through 12. Some students have accomplished this goal. I know our whole class can do it!! Please practice at home.
\nBox-Tops due Monday.
