Our Class WIG is that everyone will read 5 &#8220;good-fit&#8221; books this month.  Please check the calendar for all the activities going on for March is Reading Month.  If you would like to be a guest reader this month, please let me know, so we can work out a time for you to come in a read your favorite book to the children.<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday is our Second Leadership Day.<br \/>\nThe students earned a Celebration with Mr. Potato being completed on Friday.  We still need to vote on the activity.<\/p>\n<p>This week:<br \/>\nReading- we are learning about the elements of poetry and are writing poetry.<br \/>\nWriting- we are writing narratives<br \/>\nSpelling- the words for this wee, Lesson 23, were posted Friday.<br \/>\nMath- 2nd grade- working on addition \/subtraction with regrouping<br \/>\n      3rd grade- multiplication\/division<br \/>\nScience- 2nd grade-Landforms<br \/>\n         3rd Grade-Plants and Animals<br \/>\nSocial Studies- 2nd grade- their test from Friday will come home today<br \/>\n                3rd grade- we are working on public issues<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March is Reading Month has begun.
