Our WIG is to master our addition facts by the end of November.  I know we can do it!!  We are practicing our fact fluency daily and our progress is being recorded on Moby Max.  Please help us by practicing at home with your child.  Now that we have our classroom WIG we will write a personal academic WIG.<\/p>\n<p>In reading our focus will be on informational text.  We will be learning the text features of this genre.  This will also be our focus in writing.<br \/>\nSpelling words for Lesson 7 were posted on the blog Friday.<br \/>\nIn math we are working on partition of shapes.<br \/>\nSocial Studies tests are coming up next week for both grades.  A study guide will be sent home Wednesday for both grades.<br \/>\nWe are finishing up our Science units. Second grade has been working on Mixtures and Solutions.  Third grade has been working on Force and Motion.<\/p>\n<p>Your child should be bringing home books to read nightly.  Please read every night.  It does make a difference.<br \/>\nAlso, there are still a few parents who have not signed up for Parent-Teacher Conferences on SignUpGenius.
