{"id":2472,"date":"2016-03-20T17:16:04","date_gmt":"2016-03-20T17:16:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/philpor\/?p=2472"},"modified":"2016-03-20T17:16:04","modified_gmt":"2016-03-20T17:16:04","slug":"week-of-march-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/philpor\/2016\/03\/20\/week-of-march-20\/","title":{"rendered":"Week of March 20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is a four day week. \u00a0Our spring break begins Friday and school will re-open Monday, April 4.<\/p>\n<p>As part of March is Reading Month, we will have a Character Dress-Up Day Thursday. \u00a0Your child is encouraged to dress-up as one of their favorite book characters. \u00a0Please have your child bring in their book. \u00a0All costumes should be appropriate for school.<\/p>\n<p>If your child does not have a library card, this would be a great time, to get one.<\/p>\n<p>During this break, please continue to read with your child every day. \u00a0Before, during and after reading, discuss the book with each other.<\/p>\n<p>We will be testing in April. \u00a0Your child will be taking the NWEA and M-STEP. \u00a0These are online tests and the testing will begin mid-April.<\/p>\n<p>We will also be having our Leadership Days in April. \u00a0Parents are invited to attend April 11, right after school.<\/p>\n<p>Our Spelling test will be Thursday. \u00a0Because of the short week we will have eleven words. \u00a0The words are: stairs, airplane, pair, explore, repair, store, upstairs, ignore, fair, affair, anymore. \u00a0Please go to SpellingCity and practice using the activities on that site for Lesson 24.<\/p>\n<p>Enjoy your break!!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a four day week. \u00a0Our spring break begins Friday and school will re-open Monday, April 4.
