This Weekend\u2019s\u00a0Homework:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Folder-shape sort, cut, paste, and sort the shapes\u2026 the CHILDREN need to cut out the shapes and practice their cutting, it is THEIR homework not parents \":)\"<\/li>\n
  2. Reading Bag- NEW DIGRAPH chart\u2013 they should practice this daily just like sight words, and books! To practice the digraphs, they should go c-h (ch sound) chick, w-h (wh sound), t-h (th sound) three, s-h (sh sound) sheep, and last p-h (f sound) photograph as we practice during read to self time today.<\/li>\n
  3. Math Bag- play math games\u2013 making 10 with red and yellow counters, card game \u201cwar\u201d for comparing numbers (which is greater?), and dice game- roll, write, and draw the dots to show the quantity on the dice\u2014 NEW practice reading their shapes book and naming 2D and 3D shapes they see at home and out and about, for example at the store or park!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Reminders:<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Please send in a January snack for the class to share. \u00a0We have 18 students in the class. \u00a0We only have a few crackers and will not be able to continue morning and afternoon snack if parents do not send in items.<\/li>\n
    2. Mark your calendars for NEXT FRIDAY (January 15th) there will be a Parent Technology Workshop at 2pm in the computer lab.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
