Please send in a class snack for the month\u2013 we now have 21 students, thank you! \ud83d\ude42 Please remember to start working on\/thinking about AT HOME POSTER PROJECT AND PRESENTATION \u2014\u00a0<strong>Due on\u00a0Tuesday, February 11th<\/strong>\u00a0!!! Please use poster\/foam board for these so we can display in the hallway! Please do not send in until Tuesday,\u00a0<strong>FEBRUARY 11th\u00a0<\/strong>so you can practice the presentation part and be as prepared as possible!!! <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/iblog.dearbornschools.org\/rawsonm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/252\/2020\/01\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8923\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Reading bag-\u00a0<strong><em>35 TOTAL<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<strong><em>NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS\u00a0<\/em>one, little, play, me, here<\/strong>, am, do, not, who, with\u2014 I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, and dog. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* Practice spelling the words if your child can read them. We will have another sight word assessment next Friday before February break.<\/li><li>READING GROUP BAG \u2014 READ every day and focus on fluency and comprehension.\u00a0<em>*If your child did not get a new book, focus on RETELLING\u2014 new books will not be given every day so more focus can be on comprehension.\u00a0<\/em><strong>To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read).<\/strong>\u00a0After reading books, please practice using the handout for the \u201cretelling rope\u201d see picture below!!<em>\u00a0(Don\u2019t forget to ask your child\u2013 what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?)<\/em><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>4. NEW Math Homework MODULE 4 Book, Lesson 2\u2014 homework helper is on page 7 and homework is on page 9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the video from the lesson today:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1106\" height=\"622\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/5dvqmhDBDdM?feature=oembed\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>5. Spelling Notebook:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Spelling words are glued into your child\u2019s spelling notebook. We will have our test on Thursday, February 6, since we have no school on Friday, February 7, 2020.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>Tuesday:<\/strong>&nbsp;Consonants\/Vowels!<ul><li>Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times.&nbsp;<em>REMEMBER VOWELS ARE a,e,i,o, and u\u2014 all the rest of the letters are consonants!<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>6. POEM BOOKS ARE BACK!!!!!!!! Please read\/review old poems. our new one is about the ducks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7. NEW LIBRARY BOOKS were chose today for those students who returned their books.
