Homework\u2014\u00a0Everyone has a new book in their reading bags, please read and record on the reading log!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar for DECEMBER!<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    2. Reading bag- ***25 TOTAL***NEW SIGHT WORD<\/em>S<\/strong> ARE IN THEIR BAGS\u2014 I<\/strong>, like<\/strong>, the, see, we<\/strong>,  go<\/strong>, can, she, a,<\/strong> at<\/strong>, is, was, will<\/strong>, he, has,<\/strong> on<\/strong>, in, and, you,<\/strong>  up, look, it, my, to, <\/strong>and dog.<\/strong> Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* And work on using them correctly when speaking in COMPLETE SENTENCES for example: He (when talking about a boy) vs. She (when talking about a girl). And \u201con\u201d like the book is \u201con the table.\u201d ***BEGIN WORKING ON SPELLING THESE WORDS AS THESE WILL BE SOME OF OUR FIRST SPELLING WORDS!!!!!!!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. READING GROUP BAG \u2014 BOOKS and fill in reading logs each day!!!\u00a0Read and Re-read for fluency\u00a0<\/strong>books to be ready to WRITE about our reading\u2013 work on letter sounds!!! (Also can you login code and password to read\/listen to more books on the computer)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Please fill in log each day!!! Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE EXTEND<\/strong> the reading by asking questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Find the WORD \u201cthe\u201d on this page.<\/strong><\/li>
    • What LETTER do you see at the beginning of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li>
    • What LETTER do you see at the end of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li>
    • After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end?<\/strong><\/li>
    • Over the Thanksgiving break fill out a Story Map which will be in their reading bag with their books. Please return with the signed log in their reading bags for reading groups.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      4.\u00a0Math Homework-MODULE 3 Lesson 3 on page 209 (homework helper is on page 207).<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      **Poetry books were sent home enjoy NEW poem, \u201cQuack, Quack, Quack\u201d\u2013 we talked a lot to day about quotation marks (the marks that show when someone is talking).\u2014 will collect poem books tomorrow!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Read, Read, Read\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      ***Make sure all 4 things come back to school in backpacks!!!<\/strong> *** including poem books\u2026 NEW library books are coming home today. These are great books for LISTENING TO READING (parent or older sibling to read to student) and ASK the student the 6 questions to see if they understand the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
