Reading bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d books each night we talked about three ways to read a book\u2026 *read the pictures, *. read the words, *. retell the story. and practice ABCs using chart. NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS\u2014&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;like<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;the, see, we<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>go<\/strong>. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. NEW READING GROUP BAG \u2013 Please fill in log each day!!! Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. GREAT JOB WITH BAGS\u2014 read same books tonight for FLUENCY! ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE&nbsp;<strong>EXTEND<\/strong>&nbsp;the reading by asking questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Find the WORD \u201cthe\u201d on this page.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER do you see at the beginning of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER do you see at the end of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end??<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Math Homework Workbook\u2014 No Homework, I am doing an assessment individually today and tomorrow with each student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. POETRY BOOK- please read Camping Poem with your child and talk about the ending marks (period and exclamation point as well as rhyming words). Sign log and return.
