This book is a gift for your child\u2019s library at home. They will be getting 1 each month from a sponsor (see note in folder)!&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Reading bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d books each night we talked about three ways to read a book\u2026 *read the pictures, *. read the words, *. retell the story. and practice ABCs using chart. NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS\u2014&nbsp;<strong>I<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;like<\/strong>,<strong>&nbsp;the, see, we<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong>go<\/strong>. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. NEW READING GROUP BAG \u2013 Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. GREAT JOB WITH BAGS\u2014 read same books tonight for FLUENCY! ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE&nbsp;<strong>EXTEND<\/strong>&nbsp;the reading by asking questions such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Find the WORD \u201cthe\u201d on this page.<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER do you see at the beginning of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>What LETTER do you see at the end of the WORD?<\/strong><\/li><li><strong>After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end??<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Math Homework Workbook\u2014Lesson 14 Page 59 (homework helper on page 57.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. POETRY BOOK- students are taking home their books and should read to you at home their NEW poem and review their old one- parents please sign the front cover that you read it with them- thank you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>***Make sure all 5 things come back to school in backpacks!!! It was another long day \u2013 please send in reusable water bottles with your child\u2019s name on it so that they can keep it on the table and drink water all day long.
