Oakman Folder-Sign\u00a0and return behavior calendar for\u00a0February!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>th<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0WORD<\/u>\u00a0bag!\u00a0 *This is our LAST phonics bag so make sure you bring yours to share!!!Today we talked about WORDS that have a\u00a0th\u00a0<\/em>sound like, Thursday, thumb, thermos, \u00a0teeth, cloth etc.\u00a0 Please find 3-5 items at home that have the\u00a0th\u00a0<\/em>sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, February 12th).\u00a0 Thank you!\u00a0 *Many did not bring \u201cwh\u201d today\u2013 please bring both in 1 page and we will *sort* as we share tomorrow.<\/li>\n
  2. Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d each night and practice sight words\u2026 NEW books for reading pictures, listening and asking\/answering questions (use bookmark), finding sight words, etc. were given in see through reading bag.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she and new sight word LITTLE\u2013. ***ALL should be memorized for reading and some should be able to spell on own AND begin using to write SENTENCES!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    3.<\/strong>READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read NEW book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d\u00a0 Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants\u00a0blends and digraphs\u00a0in their bag\u2013 this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!<\/strong><\/p>\n
