Oakman Folder-Sign\u00a0and return behavior calendar for\u00a0February!\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Wh<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0WORD<\/u>\u00a0bag!Today we talked about WORDS that have a\u00a0wh<\/em>\u00a0sound like, wheel, whale, whiskers, white, whistle etc.\u00a0 Please find 3-5 items at home that have the\u00a0wh\u00a0<\/em>sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class MONDAY, FEBRARY 11th.\u00a0 \u00a0Thank you!<\/li>\n
  2. Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d each night and practice sight words\u2026 NEW books for reading pictures, listening and asking\/answering questions (use bookmark), finding sight words, etc. were given in see through reading bag.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    ** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she and new sight word LITTLE\u2013. ***ALL should be memorized for reading and some should be able to spell on own AND begin using to write SENTENCES!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

    1. READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read books 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d\u00a0 Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants\u00a0blends and digraphs\u00a0in their bag\u2013 this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Math- Module 3, Lesson 12\u2014 homework helper on page 243 and DO PAGE 245!!!\u00a0 Also please do Module 3, lesson 11 I forgot to send home the workbooks on Tuesday.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        NO SPELLING HOMEWORK\u2014 great job on test today!!!<\/p>\n

        Please send in a school snack for February (We have 20 students in the class).<\/p>\n

        We will have a class Valentine\u2019s Day party on the 14th so please have your child make\/buy valentine\u2019s cards to pass out to everyone in the class. (20\u201411 boys, 9 girls).\u00a0 Please also send in a SHOE box to decorate for Valentine\u2019s DAY!<\/p>\n
