Oakman Folder-Sign\u00a0and return behavior calendar for DECEMBER!!\u00a0\u00a0Long E\u00a0WORD<\/u>\u00a0bag!<\/em>Today we talked about WORDS that have a long e sound., like eagle, teacher, leaf, tree, etc.\u00a0 Please find 3-5 items at home that have the long e sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, December \u00a011th).\u00a0 Thank you!<\/em><\/h3>\n

2. Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d each night and practice sight words ***NEW BOOKS IN BAGS AND NEW SIGHT WORD: up<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n

** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog AND today\u2019s new word \u201cup\u201d. ***ALL should be memorized for reading and some should be able to spell on own.<\/h2>\n

3. READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read NEW black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d<\/h3>\n

Sign reading log for new books!\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/h1>\n

4. Math- NO Green Math Workbook Assigned\u2026 we are assessing 2d and 3d shapes this week!! so work on songs and describing shapes!!<\/h3>\n

Looking Ahead\u2026<\/h2>\n

Please remember next Friday (December 14th)\u2013 NO SCHOOL FOR KINDERGARTEN\/YOUNG 5s.<\/p>\n

Thursday, December 20th will be a parent meeting for Kindergarten at 2:30 in the classroom\u2013 we will talk about NWEA and learning activities to do over the break with your child, especially for math!<\/p>\n

Friday, December 21 will be our classroom holiday party in the morning\u2014 parents are invited and encouraged to come have breakfast with us in the classroom and do some holiday crafts and games.\u00a0 It will be from 9:00-10:30. More details to come!<\/p>\n

The school sing along will be Friday, December 21 at 2:00 in the GYM.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
