1. Oakman Folder-Sign\u00a0and return behavior calendar for November\u2014work on math review packet in folders\u2026 this will be due on Monday, December 3rd so please try to do a page or 2 each day.\u00a0 If you are traveling for the holiday, you have the week we return from break to finish it!\u00a0Letter Xx bag! Today we talked about the letter Xx and its \/x\/ sound, like in x-ray, xylophone, x-tra etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start\u00a0OR END<\/strong>\u00a0with the x sound please if your child didn’t do their homework last night do it tonight.\u00a0 Thank you.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/header>\n

2. Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d each night and practice sight words<\/h4>\n<\/header>\n

** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, “HERE” today’s new word. ***21 sight words, ALL should be memorized for reading and some should be able to spell on own.<\/h2>\n

3. READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read NEW black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d<\/h3>\n

Reading daily has countless benefits and is a great habit to form. It should now be a regular part of every student\u2019s daily routine and can be tailored to fit students\u2019 needs and interests.
