Oakman Folder-\u00a0Sign<\/strong>\u00a0and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER\u2014 parents please initial next to the circle for today.\u00a0\u00a0Please look at the permission slip\u2014both paper AND money need to be collected together.\u00a0 We need by Wednesday if you plan to go with your child (I-check must be filled out from beginning of the year to attend field trips!)<\/strong>Letter Hh bag!Today we talked about the letter Hh and its \/h\/ sound, like in heart, horse, hot etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the h sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, October 16th).\u00a0 Thank you!<\/em><\/li>\n
  2. Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d the\u00a0NEW<\/strong>
    \nearly readers in your child\u2019s bag.\u00a0 Remember there are 3 ways to \u201cread\u201d a book!\u00a0 Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).<\/p>\n

  3. READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d\u00a0Sign reading log!\u00a0 and practice NAME PUZZLE if you got one.\u00a0<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Math- Read over Lesson 43 homework helper\u00a0 on page 97 do homework on page 99.\u00a0\u00a0PLEASE check that all lessons up to 22 are complete but do not go ahead. Continue to work on letter formation of numbers 1-9 using the poems we have learned in class\u2014see link below:\u00a0EurekaMathNumberFormationPostersandPoems (2)<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. **if your child is having difficulty with formation, please print the poems and reference at home\u2014(say the poem as they write the number\u2014 this is what we do in class)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
