  1. Oakman Folder-\u00a0Sign<\/strong>\u00a0and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER\u2014 parents please initial next to the circle for today.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Letter Ii bag!\u00a0Yesterday we talked about the letter Ii and its \/i\/ sound, like in igloo, insect, iguana, etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the i sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow. LAST DAY!

  2. Reading\/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to \u201cread\u201d the\u00a0NEW<\/strong>
    \nearly readers in your child\u2019s bag.\u00a0 Remember there are 3 ways to \u201cread\u201d a book!\u00a0 Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).<\/p>\n

    Also, practice sight words: NEW word \u201cat\u201d\u00a0 \u201clook\u201d\u00a0 also practice \u201cto\u201d \u201clike\u201d \u201csee\u201d \u201ccan\u201d \u201cthe\u201d and \u201cI\u201d on ring and find in books!!! *They should memorize these words and know them by sight.\u00a0 Students will have a TEST over the first 10 sight words next week **List on back of October Calendar.**<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
  3. ****NEW READING GROUP BAG\u2014> read black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: \u201cFind a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the \/s\/ sound. ETC.\u201d\u00a0Sign reading log!<\/em>Here are more ideas:<\/li>\n
  4. Math- Lesson 17 read the homework helper on page 69 and have your child complete page 71 Lesson 17 for homework.\u00a0 Don’t tear it out leave it in your workbook and return on Monday.\u00a0 We also worked on writing number 6 today too.<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. ***For those familiar with CLEVER and our online learning tools, please use your child\u2019s username (blue number) and password (red number on back of card) to begin using online learning\u2026 I have a link to ABCya games on my page (this is what we are using in class to start). ***<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Step by Step directions were sent home today for online learning tools\u2014 reading (blue paper) and math (***NEW light pink card).\u2014> Keep at home for reference.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n
