Reading Bag-<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>*** Reading Group Books\u2014fill out READING LOG for NEW reading group book!\u00a0 ALL students got a NEW book today!<\/p>\n<p>***Practice ALL\u00a028 sight word cards including NEW word \u201cnot.\u201d Have your child look for this word in books and talk to them about how to use it properly in a sentence. Have them use the word in a sentence they come up with!<\/p>\n<p>3. Math Bag\u2013 Practice using 100 chart to count to 100 by 1\u2019s, 5\u2019s, and 10\u2019s.\u00a0 Try without chart! Try in a song! Try writing numbers!\u00a0 (MIX IT UP! MAKE IT FUN!) Check out our new homemade rekenrek to add and subtract to 20.<\/p>\n<p>4, Spelling Notebook\u2013 write words three times each!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Reminders:<\/p>\n<p>(Below is information sent home today)<\/p>\n<p>Field Trip to Ann Arbor Hands on Museum\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Wednesday, February 28<sup>th\u00a0<\/sup>(rescheduled)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parents are free but your I-chat must be completed at the office to go on the bus\u2014please let me know if you plan to go ASAP!\u00a0 Thank you!\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>100<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Day \u2013 Thursday, March 1st<\/p>\n<p><strong>100<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0day project Posters!\u00a0 Due on Thursday, March 1st.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Items in the past have included but were not limited to: toothpicks, cotton balls, paper clips, stickers, cereal pieces, dots, pictures, etc.\u2014be creative!!\u00a0 Have fun!!\u00a0 We will take all of the creations and create a 100 museum for all the children to take a tour through.\u00a0 Please be sure that your child\u2019s name is on their poster board so that it may be returned.\u00a0 Please ask your child to count out the items by ones, fives, AND tens.\u00a0 Your child should be doing the creating, gluing and counting with your assistance ONLY if necessary.\u00a0 This is a hands-on project for your child.<\/p>\n<p>Also, if you can donate fruit loops for our 100<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0day necklaces please let me know (we will need 2 boxes).<\/p>\n<p>This should be a fun day for the children.\u00a0 They\u2019ve been practicing counting to 100 so this will be a fun way to celebrate their efforts!\u00a0 If you have any questions please let us know.<\/p>\n<p>(See Kindergarten timeline project information on the BACK of this sheet and use attached paper to complete\u2014thank you!)<\/p>\n<p>Kindergarten Timeline Project<\/p>\n<p>As part of the Math and Social Studies curriculum, we have been talking about how people use a timeline to shown events over time.\u00a0 As part of the Social Studies curriculum, it is expected that each child completes a timeline of their life to show the past present, and future.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Please use the attached construction paper with the template with started in class.\u00a0 Please use a photograph or picture in the box and include a sentence explaining what is going on in the picture using the sentence stems<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the past, I was ___________.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the present, I am ____________.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the future, I will _________.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Please have your child practice sharing their timeline at home so they are prepared to share with the class.\u00a0 We are working on talking in complete sentence so your child will be expected to read (say) all 3 sentences on their paper on their own.<\/p>\n<p><strong>These projects will be due Wednesday, March 7.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Thank you for your assistance with this project.\u00a0 Your child will need your help but please allow them to do as much as possible (they should do the cutting, gluing, and WRITING!)\u00a0 They aslo need to practice speaking for sharing their project.<\/p>\n<p>Please let us know if you have any questions.<\/p>\n<p>Thank you,<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Rawson and Ms. Fowler<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a01.
