No school this Friday, May 22 or Monday, May 25, 2015 Memorial Day vacation.<\/p>\n
This week we will focus on:<\/p>\n
Reading\/ELA: \u00a0We will focus on the author’s reasons to support text, retelling stories, and comparing stories and characters. \u00a0We will also be writing a narrative story. \u00a0Your child should be reading 20 minutes a day and coloring a flower for May reading log. \u00a0Have your child highlight sight words in reading bag and read books in their reading bags and on MyOn. \u00a0Spelling homework is also daily please follow directions on white paper on the inside cover.<\/p>\n
Spelling: Since it is a short week tonight 3 times each and ABC order, test is Thursday, May 21, 2015.<\/p>\n
Math: we will continue to learn to solve problems. \u00a0Math homework practice worksheets, math bag activities\/games and Xtramath and Everyday math.<\/p>\n
Science: \u00a0We are learning about the life cycle of the butterfly. \u00a0We are raising butterfly in our classroom too.<\/p>\n
Social Studies: \u00a0We will be learning about informing others about public issues.<\/p>\n
