1. Folder\u2014 sign behavior calendar\u00a0FOR OCTOBER!<\/p>\n

Letter Ii bag!<\/p>\n

Today we talked about the letter Ii and its \/i\/ sound, like in igloo, insect, iguana, etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the i sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Thursday, October 19th).\u00a0 Thank you!<\/p>\n

2. Reading Bag-Practice ALL 5 sight word cards including NEW word \u201cI\u201d-\u00a0 See if they can find this new sight word in their books!\u00a0work on name puzzle, ABC chart (identifying letters and sounds\u2013try out of order!), each child has\u00a0 books to practice \u201creading the pictures\u201d (you can read the words for the to practice listening to reading).\u00a0 \u00a0All students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING GROUP<\/strong>\u2026\u00a0practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book (3 times)\u2014they should be able to do it mostly on their own\u2013 please check in and monitor so they are practicing correctly!<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. Math Bag- using number chart to practice counting and number recognition, use counting cubes to work on one-to-one with counting.\u00a0\u00a0NEW!!! students made a \u201cI can Make Ten\u201d book that they can practice reading and making the numbers.<\/p>\n

We are collecting $1.00 donations for the BURN DRIVE!!\u00a0 The firefighters will be here on Friday to talk to us about fire safety and Oakman would like to make a donation to them so please send in $1.00 with your child!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Next Wednesday (October 25) there will be a kindergarten parent meeting in the classroom at 2:30.\u00a0 It will last until dismissal.\u00a0 Please mark your calendars and plan to attend!<\/p>\n
