Who<\/strong>: To all Oakman Families<\/p>\n

When: Monday, March 9th, 2015 from 4-5:15 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n

Why:<\/strong> Our Family Literacy Night is your opportunity to share the joy of reading at school with your children. We invite you to participate as a family unit, in several activities during the course of the evening.<\/p>\n

What to expect: <\/strong>There will be a variety of activities you and your family can choose from. Join the staff for a super night full of fun reading and writing activities!<\/p>\n

**At all times children must be accompanied by an adult.**<\/p>\n

There will be raffle tickets sold for $1.00 to win a basket full of surprises.<\/p>\n

Pizza, cupcakes, baked goods and nachos will be sold in the cafeteria. Also, Book Bingo will be played. We have some great new books to win!<\/p>\n

Reading: \u00a0we will be revisiting sentence structure, retelling stories and using details to describe stories.<\/p>\n

Writing: \u00a0We will be writing narrative stories with a beginning, middle and end.<\/p>\n

Math: \u00a0we will continue to learn about 2D and 3D shapes. There will be an upcoming project. Please start gathering 3-D objects for the project.<\/p>\n
