1. Folder\u2014 sign behavior calendar FOR OCTOBER! and complete Leaf Scavenger Hunt Paper\u2014 students do not need to bring in their leaf collection, just complete the paper\u00a0\ud83d\ude42\u00a0 Have fun exploring your 5 senses as you explore autumn leaves!<\/p>\n

Letter Aa bag!\u2014 STILL MISSING \u2014 LAST CHANCE TO SHARE IS MONDAY!!<\/p>\n

Today we talked about the letter Aa and its \/a\/ sound, like in apple, acorn, alligator etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the a sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Thursday, October 5th). \u00a0Thank you!<\/p>\n

2. Reading Bag-Reading bag, work on name puzzle, ABC chart (identifying letters and sounds\u2013try out of order!), each child has\u00a05 NEWbooks to practice \u201creading the pictures\u201d (you can read the words for the to practice listening to reading).\u00a0 \u00a0MANY students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING teacher\u2026 practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book.\u00a0\u00a0**Please note there is a $6.00\/ book charge for any lost school book\u2014 please be responsible and help take care of our books!!!***\u00a0students have a \u201cplastic\u201d paper with their name on it to practice writing their name\u2026 wipe off with tissue and practice everyday\u2014 on the last line, they NEED to try ALL BY THEMSELVES!\u2013\u00a0practice NEW sight word \u201cto\u00a0 T-O-to!!!\u201d\u00a0 \u00a0USE THE ARM TAP TECHNIQUE!<\/p>\n

3. Math Bag- using number chart to practice counting and number recognition, use counting cubes to work on one-to-one with counting.<\/p>\n

\n****Please send in a class snack. (enough for 18 please)*** We are almost out!!! We ask that at the beginning of each month- you send in a snack to share\u2014 THANK YOU!!<\/p>\n

We are talking about families in Social Studies so please send in a family photo (just printing from the computer is fine!).\u00a0 I only have 7 families on our board\u00a0\ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n

This Friday (October 6) there is no school for kindergarten\/Y5s.\u00a0 The teachers have a district training.<\/h2>\n
