  1. Folder-Please sign behavior calendars! Please read the NEW NWEA letter and check the schedule on the back for your child\u2019s test date<\/strong><\/em>. \u00a0*We talked about VOWELS today\u2026 ASK your child, \u201cWhat makes Vowels special??\u201d \u00a0(They should know\u2014 they have 2 sounds AND every word has at least 1 vowel in it) A-E-I-O-U and sometimes Y! \u00a0 Here is a link to a new song we learned:\u00a0https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=4TjcT7Gto3U \u00a0 (it is called vowels have 2 sounds)<\/li>\n
  2. Reading Bag- new sight word *COME* and *MAKE* practice all sight words and ALL books!<\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0Math Bag- work on counting to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s\u2026 YOUTUBE, count by 1 or count by 5s, or count by 10s to 100 for some good songs to practice.\u2014 10 frame game with counters\u2014 please ask your child about the new game we learned today\u2014 directions are on the back of the paper if needed! \ud83d\ude42\u00a0 \u00a0ALSO practice naming 2D and 3D shapes by READING your SHAPES BOOK! We have a new game in our math bags: compare numbers which is greater when playing war gets to collect the cards. \u00a0The player with the most cards wins at the end.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>Monkey Raffle all week long. Winner of a huge stuffed monkey will be announced next week on Tuesday the 31st<\/span><\/span>. Tickets are $1 each in the office and after school.\u00a0 January birthdays are displayed on the tv in each classroom. Come have your picture taken by Mrs. Dakroub.<\/p>\n
