  1. Folder-***MATH WORKBOOK PAGE p.69 (Parent Letter- read with your child) and p. 70 Counting 8 and 9 Activity\u00a0to do at home\u2026 we will be working on numbers 8 and 9 in class this week so please review numbers 1-9 by having YOUR CHILD write each number on a piece of paper then have them draw a set of objects for (1-9) on another piece of paper\u2026 make it a game a match the number card to the picture card (Detailed directions for activity on p.70 in workbook).<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    2.\u00a0<\/i>Reading Bag- \u00a0NEW SIGHT WORD, M-E, ME! \u00a0Please fill your Mr. Y bag with things that make the Ya Ya sound: yo-yo, yellow, and yak.<\/p>\n

    ***Please \u00a0see paper that was sent home today in folders\u2026<\/p>\n

    Sight word, number formation (0-10)*on back, and letter\/sound assessments will be done on the week of December 19th<\/sup><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

    **Make sure to practice sight words EVERYDAY!!<\/p>\n

    **Students should know all of their sight words INDEPENDENTLY (list on paper sent home today)<\/p>\n

    **Students all letter names AND sounds for letters taught: Tt, Mm, Bb, Ss ,Pp, Ll, Nn, Dd, Ff, Hh, Rr, Jj, Kk, Ww, Yy, Vv<\/p>\n

    ** Students need to be able to write numbers (1-10) without looking<\/u>, tracing practice on back of this page.<\/p>\n

    3. Math Bag- practice count to 100 by 1\u2019s and 10\u2019s using chart and\/or youtube songs (search: count to 100, count by 10s), practicing counting cubes to 20 and practice WRITING NUMBERS 1-5 on laminated strips with dry erase markers, NEW GAME- Comparing Numbers on the 5 frame<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

    Thursday<\/span><\/span>:<\/b><\/u> 2nd grade competition bake sale. Who will will a free bag of popcorn on Friday<\/span><\/span> morning?<\/p>\n

    Parent Talk at 9am<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Friday<\/span><\/span>:<\/b><\/u> MOVIE NIGHT! 4-6 pm<\/span><\/span> $2 to enter includes a bag of popcorn. Pizza and treats will be sold as well inside the gym.<\/p>\n
