Lots of information, but all important!

Memorial Day Parade

All students from Marching Band, Concert Band, and Symphony Band participate in the annual Memorial Day Parade. We even have the privilege of leading the parade this year!

This is the first year we have had two separate band classes, which requires us to practice after school.
MONDAY, MAY 20 – Parade practice from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.
Please make sure to communicate with families, teachers, coaches, etc. This will be our only opportunity to practice together before the day of the performance, so attendance is critical.
Itinerary: CLICK HERE
*The full parade line-up is not yet available from the city.

Memorial Day, Feeder Concert, & District Request

Feeder Track Concert:

As many are aware, the evening Feeder Track Concert has been cancelled this year due to conflicting schedules. Here is our alternative that will help both vocal and instrumental programs:
Tuesday, May 14: Dress Rehearsal at 10:00 a.m. at EFHS
Music programs attending: Stout, STEM, Smith, Salina, Whitmore-Bolles, DuVall, and Snow. Our other feeder schools were invited, but some had conflicts due to field trips, testing, etc.

EDIT: Middle schools and elementary schools will be watching an afternoon performance of the Edsel Ford Spring Concert. Middle and elementary school students do not need to worry about bringing instruments. School buses will be picking up students at 9:30 a.m. and dropping them off by 11:30 a.m.

Memorial Day Parade:

8:00 a.m. – Student Arrival

9:00 a.m. – Bus departs from EFHS

We are the first in line for the parade this year!! That also means that we will be among the first to return 🙂 Please anticipate 2 after school rehearsals as we have two separate classes this year and we need to meet in order to prepare.

District Survey Request:
Please share your thoughts on the mission and beliefs of our school district. The results of this survey will be carefully considered and used to facilitate collaborative discussion to guide the direction of Dearborn Public Schools in the next three to five years. Your contribution to this process is greatly appreciated.

The survey will close by the end of the day on Friday, May 10, 2019.
