With 3 weeks to go until the end of the card marking, we will begin our unit on Expressions and Equations this week. Retakes for both the Lesson 13\/14 quiz and the Unit 2 test will be given this week for students who earned a 70% or less and would like the opportunity to improve their scores. On Thursday afternoon I have a meeting with the 5th-grade math leaders to discuss strategies that they are using with students in order to improve the transition from elementary school math to middle school. I will be discussing with each class the behavior expectations; please have a conversation with your student as well about being on their best behavior.<\/p>\n
