Welcome to a new week.\u00a0 Keep up the good work, over half of students completed well over the minimum 45 minutes per week required on I-Ready.\u00a0 Most students had over an hour logged in last week and one superstar over 2 hours!\u00a0 I am so proud of all of you.\u00a0 Wednesday will be a late start.\u00a0 Students should be at school by 9:30 that day.\u00a0 Here is what we will be learning about this week.<\/p>\n
Math:\u00a0 We will be rounding 2 and 3 digit numbers to the nearest ten on a vertical number line.<\/p>\n
Science:\u00a0 We will continue to track our weather daily and keep track of it on our weather data table.\u00a0 We will learn how to conduct a fair test to observe what happens to a wet paper towel that is exposed to air overnight.<\/p>\n
Social Studies:\u00a0 We have finished our unit on Michigan\u2019s History and will begin learning about the Economic Development of Michigan.<\/p>\n
Reading:\u00a0 We will be studying different text structures authors use in informational text.\u00a0 This will include sequencing, compare and contrast, and cause and effect.<\/p>\n
Writing:\u00a0 We will continue writing and begin publishing our informational books.\u00a0 Students will get to practice the text structures they are learning about during our reading time to incorporate some of them into their own books.<\/p>\n
