It was great seeing all the parents during conference nights.\u00a0 Thank you so much for taking time out of your busy schedules to discuss your child.\u00a0 It is so important that we work together as a team to help your child reach his or her fullest potential. I am so thankful for supportive parents like you and to be able to spend my days with such nice students!\u00a0 For those of you unable to make it, we will work out a time that fits both our schedules!\u00a0 Look for a note coming home to schedule a new time.<\/p>\n
This will be a short week due to the Thanksgiving holiday.\u00a0 There will be no school on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.\u00a0 Because of this, there will not be new spelling words or a test this week.<\/p>\n
Below is what we will be doing Monday and Tuesday:<\/p>\n
Math:\u00a0 We will begin learning about liquid measurements using liters and milliliters.\u00a0 There will be a short quiz on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Science:\u00a0 We are learning how engineers solve problems by designing rolling carts.\u00a0 This week we will test our carts to see how far they roll.\u00a0 We will measure distances and test to see if the starting point on a ramp makes a difference in how far the cart rolls.<\/p>\n
Social Studies:\u00a0 We will be studying the causes and effects of the British coming to Michigan.<\/p>\n
Reading:\u00a0 We will focus on informational text by reading all about the history of Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n
Writing:\u00a0 We will continue working on our informational books by organizing our ideas first and then drafting paragraphs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
