It was great seeing some of you last week during conferences, and I\u2019m looking forward to meeting with everyone else this week.\u00a0 Our conference nights are Tuesday and Thursday.\u00a0 If you have a conference on one of those days, please do your best to be on time as the evening is very busy.<\/p>\n
Here is what our week looks like:<\/p>\n
Math:\u00a0 We are exploring measuring masses using a pan balance, spring scale, and digital scale.\u00a0 We will also start learning how to measure liquid volume.<\/p>\n
Science:\u00a0 Students received a study guide last week. The test will be on Tuesday.\u00a0 The answer key is on the blog if you want to look at it or help your child study.<\/p>\n
Social Studies: We will continue studying about Native Americans in Michigan by studying old stories of theirs and learning about how they interacted with Europeans.<\/p>\n
Reading:\u00a0 We will be studying author\u2019s point of view in literature and comparing it to our own point of view.<\/p>\n
Writing:\u00a0 Now that we have studied what good authors do to write informational text, we will begin planning our own informational book.\u00a0 Students will choose a topic they want to write about and begin brainstorming ideas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
